CLP Labels.
The ADR (European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road) regulations, state that all packages containing dangerous goods should have a warning label. The labels shall be in the form of a square at an angle of 45° (diamond shaped).
Teslin Material
CLP labels (Classification, Labelling, and Packaging) are essential for hazardous substances in the European Union, following the CLP regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. These labels provide information about the hazardous properties of chemicals to ensure safe handling and transport. Teslin material is a synthetic, highly durable substrate often used for printing labels, particularly in harsh environments due to its unique properties.
The product we use for our synthetic sheet labels is a product called Teslin. Teslin has proved to be a fantastic product for our customers many different needs.
Teslin is a white, microporus, highly filled film that features unique characteristics:
- Compatible with most printing processes
- Excellent high print definition
- Excellent durability of printed image
- Waterproof
- Low static
- Adaptable
An ability to be printed on most desktop laser machines gives this product its unique selling appeal.
Teslin is to BS5609.
Marine standard Adhesive to BS5609 Certification is used.
Teslin is more environmentally friendly than other synthetic materials used.
Teslin substrate does not contain any cellulose-based materials and does not contribute to the forest harvesting. Teslin substrate is non-toxic and does not contain any ozone-depleting constituents.

This is a cost-effective, efficient way to produce your own labels on demand. These are suitable for use with most A4 laser printers.
The labels have been designed to provide the maximum space for text after pictograms are in place.
